I get tired of people trying to find excuses for the Lakers. Utah is playing without their second leading scorer and there 7 footer. They could be up 2-1 in this series. Williams had a terrible night and he is an 85% free throw shooter and missed about 6 free throws. It only gets worst for the Lakers. I think Kobe is worn down and they may not get out of this round and write it down no matter who they play they will loose in round two as much as I want a Cavs Lakers finals I don't think the Lakers will make it. It's been proven poor defensive teams don't win championships in any sport!

Lakers did not have a lot of things going for them (Kobe having a bad shooting night, Gasol missing free throws, Bynum has yet to show up in this series), and almost found a way to win. Boozer was nuts while Deron was quiet...but don't expect Deron to stay quiet and if Okur does come back, he will be able to stretch the field giving Deron more room to drive in.
And you know, not to bag on Kobe or anything, I know shooters have to keep shooting, but after 20 attempts, you have only made 4 shots, you just gotta stop. I guarantee you those last 5 he attempted, someone else could have made them in his place if he had just passed.
And judging from the last play, seems like Phil wanted to go for the win rather than OT.
